## Design Direction Set
- Matt chose **Emerald Toffee Sunrise** palette (Figma) with gold extensions
- Palette locked: Midnight Teal, Forest Emerald, Warm Toffee, Burnished Copper, Morning Peach, Sage Mist, Verdant Green + Golden Amber, Soft Gold, Aged Gold
- Vibe: warm, welcoming, rich textures, subtle movement — not sterile
- Movement philosophy: subtle ambient (CSS transitions, gentle pulse), not playful

## Prototype Built
- Static HTML prototype at `prototype/index.html` — full MVP single-page dashboard
- Sections: Greeting + weather, Today calendar ribbon (horizontal scroll), Upcoming 48h, System health (4 widgets), Quick-add event form
- Fonts: DM Sans (body), Playfair Display (headings)
- Noise texture overlay, fade-in animations, staggered children, hover card lifts
- Served locally on port 8765 for phone testing
